Accessories for Conduit Installation

To complete your installation, Dura-Line offers a complete line of Accessories. Couplers, with properties designed for air-jetting, plow chutes, directional boring, and other installations, easily join lengths of Conduits and MicroDucts. Lubricants in a variety of formulations, including high performance in cold weather, aid in cable placement. MicroAccessories include couplers, end caps, and speciality items designed to perform with MicroDucts and FuturePath. Bull-Line Pull Tape can help install both conduit and cables inside conduit.

Couplers

Couplers, with properties designed for air-jetting, plow chutes, directional boring, and other installations, easily join lengths of Conduits and MicroDucts.

Dura-Line offers an extensive line of couplers which offer an air and water-tight connection where the cable is the most vulnerable – at the joint. Our most popular couplers are Push-Lock and Shur-Lock II, each with different features that will work well with most installation projects. Choose which coupler works best depending on your application.

Shur-Lock II

Shur-Lock II

Shur-Lock II is a plastic coupler designed for coupling HDPE & PVC conduit. Can also be used to couple dissimilar conduits such as HDPE to PVC, threaded or non-threaded metal conduit, or fiberglass (FRP) conduit. The coupler features stainless steel band clamps (hand tightened using a 5/16" nut driver) and locking ring. A pre-lubricated O-ring forms an air-tight seal to withstand 125 PSI on 1" - 3" sizes. Also a specialized coupler for use by electrical installers requiring ETL/UL listing. Spreader Tools are available for sizes 3", 4", and 6" to aid in the installation process.

FEATURES

  • One person installation
  • Re-enterable, no special tools required
  • Air-tight and water-tight
  • No ID reduction
  • Excellent pull-out strength on HDPE, PVC, FRP, and steel
  • UV resistant
  • No-Stop version available for confined areas or repairs
  • ETL Listed to CSA STD C22.2 18.3-04
  • Listed to UL STD 514Befficient.

Clear-Lock

Clear-Lock

Experience the same fast and easy installation of our Push-Lock couplers now with a new, clear body design. Simply push the duct ends into the coupler for a locked and air-sealed assembly. Slightly shorter than the original Push-Lock, the Clear-Lock is ideal for pull boxes, vaults or other limited access areas. The non-metallic construction provides excellent corrosion resistance in buried or encased applications and also has desirable dielectric properties.

FEATURES

  • The clear midsection gives added visibility during installation, removing all guesswork from the process
  • The visual confirmation of the pipe within the coupler ensures that it has been properly seated at the center stop
  • Simple, one person ‘push-on’ assembly lowers installation costs
  • Self-locking ring design assembles in seconds and is re-enterable
  • High strength molded plastic body is ideal for buried duct applications
  • Pre-lubricated O-ring is water-tight and air-tight
  • Suitable for both cable pulling & jetting applications
  • Proprietary design, Patent protected

AT-500 Lubricant

AT-500 Lubricant

HydraLube® AT-500 is a high-performance silicone lubricant formulated specifically for use with compressed air-assisted cable blowing, jetting and pushing systems. These systems inject a high volume of air into the conduit which will rapidly dry out conventional cable placement lubricants (including silicone-based) and cause surface stickiness. Furthermore, the initial temperature of the compressed air can be very high, which will accelerate drying of the lubricant. HydraLube® AT-500 deposits a special low-friction silicone coating on the conduit wall surface that is resistant to the drying effects of the rapid air movement and high heat. This product is fully compatible with cable jackets and HDPE or PVC conduit systems.

FEATURES

  • Silicone lubricant specially formulated for all air-assisted cable placement applications
  • Resistant to the drying effects of high-volume air movement
  • Designed to leave a minute yet highly effective layer of silicone on the interior of the conduit
  • Superior friction reduction properties with no “viscous drag” effects on cable
  • Compatible with all types of cable and conduit

Lubaduk

Lubaduk

Lubaduk

LUBADUK® keeps pull tensions low; up to 74% less friction and 50% less pulling tension than with other lubricants. The effectiveness of LUBADUK® has been proven in the field and with extensive testing. Reduced cable tension (as much as 50%) greatly reduces the wear on cable pulling equipment and improves safety. A unique shear-sensitive carrying agent holds a dispersion of silicone oil and microspheres in suspension. LUBADUK® microspheres are tiny ball bearings, with diameters between 0.010” and 0.020.” Pulling cable with LUBADUK® means cable actually rolls on a layer of microspheres, which keep friction between cable and conduit extremely low. Any change in the cable contact point provides a fresh layer of microspheres, keeping friction low.

FEATURES

  • Increased pull lengths mean fewer setups
  • Fewer pull boxes needed saves costs
  • Reduces potential cable damage
  • Direct application into the duct before the pull reduces
  • Available in standard or winter grade (-40°F)
  • UL listed
